Choosing a note book P.C: Size Matters

A thing which is considered while you have your note book selected is its size. The best laptops and notebooks are divided in to three basic size categories by manufacturers:

Mainstream notebooks:

This one if the traditional form factor of ‘laptops”. These note books comes in sizes 14 inches to 15.4 inches. They generally weight around six to seven pounds. Keyboards are of standard size while quite often more keys are placed for more room. They are the best category for they are considered highly useable and portable. They also come in inexpensive rates but the prices do vary depending upon the size and speed with addition to features.

Thin and Light:

These are considerably smaller and lighter sort of laptops and this feature makes them much easier to carry. The screen for these note books varies from 14 inches o 10 inches. And the weight of such machines is 3 to 6 pounds. They were once considered most expensive sort of portable computers. But today low end computers from main stream range are competing against them. These note books have smaller keyboards and it is quite difficult to type even with best note book of this sort.

Desktop replacement:

These are named to be note books however they are considerably heavy in handling and are of large sizes. These are generally replacements to desktop computers and keep sitting over the table all the time while move only when required. Screen ranges from 17 inches to 21 inches and their weight generally is 8 to ten pounds. These notebooks are aided with full sized keyboards with presence of numeric keys. They are considerably expensive as compared to mainstream computers.

It is your choices which machine does you select to be a companion of yours. But the thing which makes difference with thins and lights is you would find yourself fighting against a small keyboard while you have to squint over to look at the screen and if your note book is one among the desktop then you would be carrying it less and it would remain home.

What ever you choose for but my suggestion is you better go for one which is;

- convenient to carry with

- size of screen

- Size of keyboard.
