The 15 inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 is very impressive. There are many good features available and it provides good performance with its dual graphics.

This 15 inch Y560 is full of entertainment which comes from the series of premium laptops of Lenovo IdeaPad. There are dual graphics mode and JBL speakers used in the software with latest laptop features and hardware. The overall performance of the laptop is impressive. There will be no problem of typing for long time in the system with its excellent keyboard.

Design

There is not so much change in the design of IdeaPAd series of Lenovo. You will find same look and feel in this model as well. It comes with same dark coffee brown color. The dark screen lid is the only major difference in this model from its previous models. Its lid has smooth matte finish. Y560 might not be so good in its look as compared to Dell and Sony VAIO E. There are orange strips around the screen and its display screen also has glossy surface layering. Its touchpad is also very good. The built quality of the Y560 is good for basic functions. There is six-cell battery used in the Y560.

Usability

There is 1.3 MP camera used in this software and you can have good picture view on the 15 inches screen of the Y560. Its widescreen display can also be good for vidoechats. The videos and photos capturing and uploading to the YouTube or Flickr can be very easy with the YouCam software in the system. The LED backlit screen of the system is 15.6 inches with the resolution of 1366 x 768. It has nice screen which is evenly lit offering good contrast and brightness levels. The video and text display can be very good on the screen with its standard features. The viewing angles of the system are also very good.

The high standard of the input devices from Lenovo can easily be seen in its quality keyboard and touchpad. The keyboard sports of the Y560 are slightly raised and keys are packed tightly for typing. The key design is also different. There is no dedicated number pad on the keyboard which can be the only disappointment. Its touchpad is also very good and it is large as compared to touchpads in other laptops. There is finely textured finish provided on the touchpad. There is support for multiple gestures like two-finger scroll and pinch to zoom on the touchpad of the Y560. The glossy layer of the touchpad and mouse buttons is very attractive.

Pros:

The hardware configuration, gaming and overall performance of the system is very good.Very good hardware configuration. There is nice sound with onboard JBL speakers. This system has lots of good features like proprietary software. It has fantastic keyboard and gesture enabled touchpad.

Cons:

You will find no dedicated number pad on the keyboard and its built quality is also ordinary.
