After you have chosen your laptop, look at it carefully. Look at its corpus from all the sides and touch it with hand. Remember that your laptop will be used for a long time and aggressively so any imperfection can be harmful for you. Check all the outer components and if the plastic surface is tough enough at first touch and if there are any scratches. Well you surely will make scratches while using the laptop but there is no need to buy a scratched one. Open the lid and try to stability of the keys and the keyboard. Problems with the keyboard can ruin your happiness from using the laptop. Press some of the keys and see what the noise will be. If it is teasing and loud, this laptop is not for you. Take the laptop in your hands, open the lid and shake it. If the lid with the screen drags back down and stays in horizontal position, you can be sure that the knuckles are not tough and they make you problems soon or late. Unstable knuckles can lead to problems with the lid or even with the screen. Which means if the knuckle breaks you will need to buy another laptop. I am telling this from own experience.

When you have already chosen the laptop, ask the seller to switch it on. Click on the right button on the desktop and choose Properties. Change the color of the background from the Desktop menu. For better result of the test choose black and white as colors. The white color will show you if the light of the screen is good and if it is on spots or is steady. Black color’s appearance will show you if your screen is showing black color really black. If the color seems brown or dark grey, this means the screen is fake.

So with those couple of advices you can go alone to any laptop store and can choose laptop by your own. Of course do not underrate the technical characteristics. They are what will make your laptop work. But while for the technical characteristics you will surely need a help from professional, those easy tests can be done by you if even you have no ideas about laptops. Just try!
