Users think that all the laptops are being assembled by the same Thai or Chinese producers of electronic components and assembling modules, and as there is no difference between them it is not acquitted to pay higher price just because of the name of the producer. But is this true? What defines the price of the laptop and where the difference between the prices of the famous producers and the smaller ones?
The brand name is what needs to be supported and it needs big investments, which leads to increasing the price. Advertisement is expensive pleasure.
Quality of engineering is the second decisive factor. It is not fare to talk about the same quality of the final product, just because the made is with the same components. This is delusion. The quality of the components used clears when you select and test a specified quantity of the whole mass. Some of the producers do not apply this process. Also the presence of quality control before assembling decreases the waste up to minus 90%. Quality control delays the assembling with delay is better than bad quality products. This adds extra on the price.
Projecting
The stage of the projecting is important in laptop production as different decisions lead to different results. Two of the most liked ways of projecting are: using external person to project or a special company doing this or projecting the laptop according to the own requirements and own design of the producer. The first method is cheaper and is connected with buying a ready platform. Just the produced laptop is being added a logotypes and ready. For being even cheaper produced, the laptop is being assembled with ready plates and scheme decisions and electronic components most of which have not passed test. This can lead to unexpected incompatibility and defects. Sometimes the ready platforms can cause problems with over heating because of the functional location of components or the modules in the box. And as we know the heating it factor on which the reliability depends. The wrong projecting can lead to damage of the components, which can broke whole your laptop.
The second way of projecting is expensive method. Not all the projects are being realized but yet the designers and engineers have to work and are being paid. Ready works and modules are not being used and this with the time for final realization of the laptop, giving the final touches and testing take too much time. And as time passes the price rises. This is the way all the famous producers are working. Some companies have tried to buy ready systems, which lead to law quality of their products. It does not worth the risk. Only Sony for the last years do not even buy ready platforms.
The last factor is the guarantee of the laptops. This is what can cause users to dislike specific brand. Because of the service center or the mechanics that are doing the guarantee, users make wrong decision about the producers itself.
You can make conclusion that there is not a better producer or honest one. But people have said: ”I am not that rich to buy cheap things” and “The niggard always pays twice”.
