A new laptop can be inheritor of the desktop computer for some of you and symbol of a freedom of course. For others it can be a second computer which to use when traveling or during summer and winter vacations. For thirds the new laptop is something that can do everything, will be part of their life and even will turn into something they can not do without.
Have you thought about what types of laptops there are? If there is difference between them except of their price and some characteristics? If you have not thought about this, the next material will make you think.
The first group of laptops includes the most mass models of laptops. Normally they are with screen about 15.4 inches, about three kilograms of weight, operative memory at about 512 megabytes or one gigabyte, DVD reader/ writer and decent design. Nothing much and nothing less. Those laptops are universal and they are mostly bought by people with pragmatic thinking that thinks what the investment will be in comparison with the options available. Prices of such laptops start from 200$ and reaches about 400$. Means those are the cheapest ones. Have on mind the price can be different in different countries.
The second group includes laptops which main option is the weight. The main requirement is weight between one and two kilograms because the owner will bring the laptop with himself all the time and the heaviness can bring discomfort. Usually in this group are laptops with 10.1 up to 14 inch screens and good hardware equipment. The prices are much higher from the prices of previous group laptops and are moving between 300$ and 700$.
The third group includes laptops which are at the role of portable office. Their screens are about 17 inches, their keyboard is with more than 86 keys (this is the key numbers a normal keyboard has) and they have the greatest of the greatest hardware components. Because of the options of this laptops, they are not famous with that much long lasting batteries. Their batteries last about hour and a half whereas the laptops from the second group have batteries lasting up to 4 hours or even more. The prices of those laptops start from 700- 800$ and reach the price of one vacation at some island.
So when you are choosing laptop think of what budget you have, at first place. At second place think about the characteristics of the laptop and what work the laptop can do and how much it can fulfill your needs and at third place think about the weight. Because if you need something heavy, with low characteristics, with not much options and at a high price, you can always buy a simple desk computer.
