"How to" in your laptop

You probably are pissed of your laptop and want to change something in it, because you do not have money or will for a new one. And you need user manual. You do not need that much. You need only to read the next lines and you will see it is as easy as child game.

Changing the hard disk

It may sound rare to you, but the procedure of replacing and renewing the hard disk of the laptop is as easy as it is in the desktop computers. You need only to unscrew the screw and take through skidding the hard disk from its place, without touching the electronic parts underneath.
Nearly all laptops has standard 2,5 inch hard disk although in the ultra mobile laptops 1,8 inched ones are preferred. In notebooks even the height is different and it can vary from 12,5 to 9,5 mm. So before buying a new hard disk first check what the sizes and the interface of the present hard disk of your laptop is.

For this aim consult with the documentation of your laptop, check the web site of the producer or if you are sure in your knowledge, just open the laptop and see with your own eyes.

Even if your laptop is branded, practically every type of hard disk can be mounted in it, even though the hard disk is not bought from the official representative of the producer. The sixes are important, not the brand. And if the interface is SATA or ATA. Be careful for added transitions, which are used for connecting electronically to the chassis. In case of buying new hard disk you will have to connect the transition, too.

Installing additional operative memory

In most of the laptops the available slots for RAM memory are two, although there are models with only one bank for installing RAM modules.
As a rule investment in branded SO-DIMM modules, which are the most used ones in laptops is totally excusable because of the factor price- quality. Also when you use memory from famous producer you have guarantee from about 5 years which is not for neglecting.
See the user manual of the laptop and check where exactly are the modules of the operative memory. In notebooks it is hidden behind a panel. The modules are being put into slots, in which ends there are clutches as it is in the desktop computers. The difference is that the preferred plates here are smaller as the SO- DIMM ones.

Changing the keyboard

If your keyboard is out of order or you do not want to use it anymore, it can be easily changed. The good news is that the procedure is equal to assembling new model of LEGO.

For beginning the chassis of the laptop must be opened, of course if it is necessary. After this is the check of the fixture of the keyboard. What you have to do next is the unscrew everything that holds the keyboard, to take out the connector from the jack and the follow the procedure in the contrary sequence to install the new keyboard
